The Prom Thingy
As I have stated I try to keep my kids out of the internet limelight, however this is getting more and more difficult as time goes by.
Anyway my Step Daughter Liz had her first prom and I thought I would not only run through some of the pictures but also some of the effects I did to try to make her memories special.
I started out in this messing around with my older step-daughter's prom pictures and my wedding picture ( both below)

But this time I wanted to go all out, so I did a mess of pictures for Liz's prom to make it something special.
To start off with this is of course Liz, she has grown up quite a bit.
I wanted something sort of surreal and went for this look.

After that I wanted to capture the corsage moment with something that seemed drawn but still relevant.
So I went with this

If you will notice only their skin is photo-real the rest is drawing (Making things easier on me, but I still had to touch up Corey's suit a bit). I also left the edges fuzzy for effect.
Next was getting in the car
Why she is nervous for so many pictures I have no idea. Still I went with this to be artistic at first.

Then changed my mind to this which is a bit more cartoony but fun.

I also used this for these since it was one of the better pictures of her face to capture detail with.

The last one is probably my favorite for shear detail.
Next we did the traditional pictures by the lake.
I cropped this one a bit for the charcoal effect

later I did a more painted background.

This picture gave me fits due to Liz's hair and the fact that it appears her arms are put in wrong.

This was my final stab at the picture.

A basic touch up nothing really to say about it.

Same here
For some reason my wife really loves this next effect
Sadly it was probably one of the easiest to pull off.

This is of course Liz on a swing showing her Dorothy shoes
I keep thinking I should do more to this one, may go back and do that.

But I thought this one turned out just fine.

Same swing as you can tell from the van
Somewhat happy with this one but Barb didn't like it.

She did like this one though.

And yes I did keep the dress and suit that way on purpose LOL.
I think I over did it with this next picture though
As you can see here.

Yeah I did that more than once but dumped a lot of the results.
I had to crop this one.
Not sure of the effect I was going for but I like it.

And one more swing shot.
I thought this effect brightened it up a lot.

I will probably make adjustments to all this but I knew everyone wanted to see so I thought I would show you some of the delays in e-mailing.
Last picture is one that doesn't need any touch ups. Karli's son (Hunter) and Barb
