So what happened
Note: to my friends who had no clue any of this was going on, don't worry, I tend to only complain about 2% of the time and that is when its really bad.
Around three years ago my father passed away, to put it bluntly I didn't take it entirely too well. I finished off the (now that I think about it Ironically titled) "Tattered finish and intended to follow up after a few months with "Breakout" Obviously that didn't happen.
My Dad had some good insurance, enough to pay off his house, my car, and a ton of other expenses I had. At some point I thought it was a great idea to start up a Game and Comic shop. This started a regiment of 12 hour days for six days a week, well to say I didn't have time for dios was an understatement.
Not that I was totally out of the community. I had to wildly fun get togethers I jokingly titled "Zedcon" (both 1 and 2). Both were a blast and I had fun putting them on. In fact I would go in so far to say that the gatherings kept me in business for a bit of extra time. But alas the business did me in eventually.
There are a lot of reasons I ultimately failed in business. I was a bit too big of a fan, I will be the first to admit I ordered a few things for myself that I didn't think of anyone else (evidenced by the fact that of this writing I still have a bunch of Army of Darkness figures, and No I have no more Ash's sorry).
But the basic thing was I got to a point I was on a razor's edge of falling over and of course something came along to screw up that harmony (in the form of electronic theft BTW. long story that I really don't feel like delving into).
So for long months my family and I were basically poor. Christmas was very rough (the worst yet) and we were so broke the week after Christmas we survived on Rice that we got from a food give away (A LOT of rice).
Shortly there after (9 days in fact) I finally found employment (BTW the job market in this area is bleak for someone who doesn't have a Bachelors or higher, so me with an Associates only it made life rough). But there was the problem of catching up (and up and up and up) with the bills.
Finally some stability is seeming to peep through the darkness. It only took 2 and 1/2 years. Its been a hell of a journey to get to this point once more, and what's funny is its just starting.
