Just a question, how many of you are humming the theme music in your heads just by me mentioning Indy. I tend to do that a lot is the reason I ask LOL.
Indy is of course a classic character, so why not include him in the reckless group of crazy characters of 1:18th town. Originally Indy was going to be represented by his earliest 1982 version. Thankfully Hasbro came out with several new versions just in time for Toxie's 1:18th Universe (I believe the line was released right after the first chapter was shot). Sadly some of my hopes for the line were dashed after the line was canceled, still it yielded some incredible figures which I have had to add to the plethora of my story.
Ever since I first saw Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indy has been a favorite of mine. The second I decided to branch out and add characters to my 1:18th story Indy was the top of my list.
Character-wise he is pretty much the character he appears in the films, snarky, tough, a bit overconfident but also an adventure seeker. He has been the basis of many characters since (especially Brandon Frazier's characters in The Mummy and Journey to the Center of the Earth). Indy himself seems to be based on Alan Quartermaine (King Solomon's mines) but Indy seems to have been able to branch off a bit to his own persona.
I have gotten some liberal usage out of his Kingdom of the Crystal Skull version as it is the only Indy that had a removable hat. His Raiders version is the other one I use most commonly (switching out as I need to remove his hat).
His role in 1:18th town changes constantly, of course that is the nature of Indy sometimes.
